Pattern leather dog backpack with PDF, SVG, DXF & video. DIY leather dog charm – a cute keychain with glasses and a hat for bags or keys.
Pattern leather dog backpack is not just another keychain — it’s a playful dog in a hat and glasses, ready to follow you wherever you go. I designed this accessory to be both cute and stylish, so you can attach it to your backpack, purse, or keys and always have a cheerful companion by your side. The small details like the cap, bow tie, and round glasses make it stand out among other charms.
For this project you can use your offcuts of 1.4–2 mm (3.5–5 oz) vegetable-tanned leather. This thickness is perfect for creating a durable yet flexible charm.
You will also need:
A key ring or small carabiner
Filling material (synthetic padding or holofiber) to give volume to the charm
The beauty of this pattern is that it doesn’t require much leather, so it’s perfect for using up scraps from other projects.
The completed dog keychain with glasses measures about 7 cm x 5.5 cm (2.7 x 2.1 inches). Small enough to be a bag accessory, but detailed enough to become a recognizable little friend.
When you buy this DIY leather dog charm, you’ll receive:
PDF files (A4 + US Letter) for easy home printing and hand cutting
SVG and DXF files for laser cutting
Step-by-step video tutorial
This is a digital product only, not a physical item. Only the pattern leather dog backpack is for sale. All other objects in the photos are for demonstration purposes only.

Among all leather keychains, this one stands out because of its character. The little dog backpack charm with hat and glasses feels more like a tiny mascot than just an accessory. Whether you prefer to craft it in natural leather tones for a classic look, or add colors for a fun effect, the result will always make people smile.
It also makes a great beginner-friendly project if you want to practice cutting and stitching on a small scale. Even though it’s tiny, it combines multiple skills — shaping, filling, and attaching hardware.
Here are a few ways you can use your finished leather dog keychain pattern:
As a backpack charm with a unique personality
A keychain with glasses that makes your keys easy to spot
A handmade gift for dog lovers
A cute accessory for children’s school bags
A DIY project to practice leather crafting with scraps
Each version can be different. Some crafters add extra stitching details, others play with dyes to give the dog charm its own unique look.
