Leather locomotive pattern PDF, SVG, DXF. DIY jewelry box in train shape with 2 compartments. Great for steampunk or creative custom styling.
This leather locomotive pattern gives you everything you need to build a decorative train-shaped jewelry box — complete with two functional storage compartments. The design is fun, dimensional, and open to your own style. Use it to store rings, keys, pins, or tiny treasures, or build it as a collectible that lives on your shelf.
The locomotive form has charm and presence. It’s compact but layered with potential. Whether you prefer a raw leather finish, a colorful accent, or a fully customized steampunk engine — the choice is yours.
I really love Crazy Horse leather for its pull-up effect. So, this Leather Locomotive is no exception.
Any leather 1.4–2 mm (3.5–5 oz.) would be suitable for this project.

The base design is clean — no gears or brass. That’s for you to decide. This steampunk leather train template is a creative canvas. I often use broken watch parts, small screws, wires, and painted metal to build the steampunk aesthetic. You can go subtle or wild — every version ends up different.
The front cab opens to reveal a small compartment. Behind it, the cargo section serves as a larger box. Both are secured with magnets, making the design fully functional, not just decorative.
It’s a conversation piece that you can actually use.
This DIY leather train organizer isn’t limited to jewelry. It’s great for any small items you want to store with care — pins, USB sticks, sewing supplies, SD cards, coins. Or just build it for fun, as a handmade gift or as part of a collection.
With its structure, proportions, and layered parts, this little train feels like a model, but with purpose.
You’ll learn how to:
Work with magnets
Use threaded rods for reinforcement
Create clean compartments inside 3D shapes
Add personalized external elements if you want
This leather train jewelry box pattern is only the start. You can make it minimal, mechanical, colorful, or classic. The base is strong and clean — the rest is up to your creativity.
