To create the Leather Car Retro Jewelry Box, vegetable-tanned leather 1.4-2 mm (3.5-5 oz) thick will be perfect. For the headlights, lighter or undyed vegetable-tanned leather of 1.4-1.6 mm (3.5-4 oz) is suitable.
This car model requires less hardware. You will need:
- Rivets 8 pcs.
- Knob screw rivets 3 pcs.
- For the wheels. Steel threaded rod, diameter 3.5-4 mm (approximately 0.14 in). Length 10.5 cm (4.13 inches) – 2 pcs. Hex nuts or cap nuts can be used as end caps. These can be purchased at hardware stores. They often come as 1-meter long rods that can be cut to the desired dimensions.
