For the main details, use leather that is 2-2,4 мм (5-6 oz)  thick and for a few additional details, use leather that is 1.4-1.6 mm (3.5-4 oz) thick.

This is the hardware you will need to sew the Leather Tube Bag Pattern:

• Rivets 40+ pcs.
• Magnetic or simple snap fasteners 2 pcs.
• Chicago screws 4 pcs.
• Locks 3 pcs.
  These are typically used for small boxes or chests.
  You can choose any suitable locks.
• Steel threaded rod, diameter 3.5 mm (0.14 in). Can be purchased at hardware stores. These are often 1-meter long rods that can be cut to the desired dimensions.
  72 cm (28.3 in) – 2 pieces
  24.5 cm (9.6 in) – 2 pieces
  I used large Chicago screws as end caps – 4 pcs. The screw length is 14 mm (approximately 0.55 inches). You can also use a Cap Nut.
