This engaging pattern enables you to create a striking steampunk-inspired locomotive. But this is no ordinary model; it doubles as a treasure box with two compartments, skillfully incorporated into the design.
I really love Crazy Horse leather for its pull-up effect. So, this Leather Locomotive is no exception. Any leather 1.4-2 mm (3.5-5 oz.) would be suitable for this project.
Required hardware:
– Knob screw rivets 3 pcs.
– Chicago Screws 1 pcs.
– Round magnets with a diameter of 1 cm (0.39 in.) – 6 pcs.
– Steel threaded rod (3.15 in) diameter 3.5 mm (0.14 in. Length 6.5 cm (2.6 in) 3 pcs.
Use nuts or Cap Nut as end caps. These can be purchased at hardware stores. They often come as 1-meter long rods that can be cut to the desired dimensions.
The Leather Locomotive Pattern is simply a blank canvas for your creativity. You can make a cool steampunk model. Or a vibrant colored children’s train. Leatherworkers are unique people with a great imagination 🙂
